Now back with us, Hope is adjusting to a very different reality. She misses the warmth of a couch to curl up on, the joy of a daily walk, and the comfort of having “her” people close by. Yet, despite all of this, she remains as hopeful as ever—trusting that her forever family is still out there waiting to find her.

A true people dog, Hope thrives on human connection and loves nothing more than being by your side. She delights in simple joys—chasing after a ball, enjoying her meals, and leaning in for cuddles and head scratches.
Like many Shepherds, Hope also has a strong protective instinct toward her humans. During a recent holiday with her foster family, she showed her devotion by guarding them—even from waiters at restaurants, workers at gas stations, and strangers passing by. While this protective nature shows her loyalty, it also means she needs gentle guidance to understand that not every situation is a threat. The good news is that she learns quickly: once she realizes her family is safe, she relaxes and is happy to just enjoy the moment.
Hope already understands most basic commands and is eager to continue learning. She does well with other dogs, ignores cats, and has shown she can adapt beautifully with the right structure and reassurance.
