Meet Anais: A Brave Survivor in Need of Help
Anais is a beautiful 2-year-old female dog whose story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. A kind woman found her wandering alone and called for help, sending a photo of her dire condition. Unfortunately, the woman couldn’t stay, but our volunteer Eva immediately went to rescue Anais and took her straight to the vet.
What we discovered was devastating. Anais is severely underweight, nothing more than skin and bones. Her ears are bleeding, and her skin is covered in sores from a severe infection. She has also been diagnosed with leishmania, which will require long-term treatment and care.
Despite her suffering, Anais has a gentle soul and a strong will to survive. One of our amazing volunteers has taken her into foster care, where she will begin her long journey toward recovery. This will include gaining much-needed weight, addressing her skin and ear infections, and getting her leishmania under control.
Anais has a long road ahead, and we need your support to give her the care she deserves. She requires special food, medications, and ongoing veterinary treatment to heal and regain her strength.
